Missing 236 - Rebirth Experiments - Dark Thunder Initiative Empty
PostSubject: Missing 236 - Rebirth Experiments - Dark Thunder Initiative   Missing 236 - Rebirth Experiments - Dark Thunder Initiative EmptyMon Jun 01, 2009 8:51 am

When Lord Morcalivan first discovered the prisoner program which made deals with pharmaceutical companies to test drugs on inmates, he knew this would give him access to hundreds of subjects off the books. After using his telepathy to manipulate the program behind the scenes, at the end of the testing he managed to aquire a total of 300 healthy test subjects to be used for his experiements in the Rebirth Program.

Now did he use these subjects against their will or were they willing to take part in his experiments? Considering that they all lost their memories from it and that he 'tells' them they accepted in exchange for their freedom, well, there reason isn't anyone who can dispute his claims. The fact is that they were given a new lease on life, forgetting their criminal past, freedom from their sentences and immense power.

One has to wonder though, out of those three hundred, why did only those who have no control over their powers, can no longer contact others physically or are at least emotionally disturbed or attached to Lord Morcalivan the ones to survive? Is it an enormous amount of luck on his part? Did he somehow eliminate those who would possibly be a threat to him or unable to be controlled? If he did end their lives instead of them dying from the experimental process like he told the others, then where are the bodies? Did he just cart them off all on his own? Would he leave bodies as evidence? Or are there even corpses to begin with?

The truth is, while eight subjects are now serving as members of the Dark Shroud, only fifty six patients of the program would die from complications the experiments would have on their bodies, or be too much of a danger to be left to live and have to be put down. So what happened to the other 236? Well, where do you think the bio cells were produced for the Red Ant line of weapons? Each and every living and unaccounted for member is imprisoned and drained of their energies deep within the catacombs beneath Alivan Castle. Most are placed into artifical comas by Alivan technology, but some are caged like wild animals, never releating, always fighting. Though that could also just be spasms from the result of the mutated experimentation they went through.

Replacements needed. As the Red Ant line of weaponry becomes more requested, the production and quality of the bio cells will need to increase. As such the sheer number of inmates will need to increase to approximately 1000 within the next year. This will be done using 1000 American 20 year sentence plus prisoners so as to not arouse suspicion from the far smaller Canadian populations. Meanwhile the quality of the production will increase due to the inmates all being far more standardized in their mutations due to data taken from the 300 former subjects and success of the Venom Serum. This poses a problem. What to do with the 236 once they're replaced? Obviously they can't be left to continue to taint the batch of ammunition. At the same time they have enormous potential within them. This is where the Dark Thunder Initiative comes in, a group of new members to be released, armed and trained to become part of the Dark Storm. As most were in comas and have no memories of their past lives, they would have just as much potential use as the Horsemen and Red Team. Only time will though for certain wether they prove loyal, a new threat or even stable, physically or mentally.
