| Part of our existence is to protect the earth. We have a, "Go Green!" mentality, and any potential threat to the earth becomes a top priority for us. So I figured we should at least create a group that butted heads with our cause on a regular basis.
Name: Gen-Core (short for Genesis Corporation) Purpose: To reinvent society with new technology, and improving ways of life.
Why they're enemies: Their tests and experiments endanger the waters, atmosphere, and biosphere. With over 50 labs located across the globe, they're releasing cancerous chemicals into the air, and hazardous acids and chemicals into the water supply of many countries. Their activity has been covered up through lawyers, money, and government officials---all of whom are beneficting from supporting Gen-Core's cause and defending it from a multitude of lawsuits.
Due to the number of attacks on their labs from activists protesting their on-going development, they were forced to create a task force to defend Gen-Core and all of it's property (think of an army full of Iron Mans and War Machines). The task force was originally created to defend Gen-Core, but since it's expansion, it has turned into a force of power and persuasion. There is no other company in the world (or country) with such power, and it was the reason the US government contracted with Gen-Core to use the technology to create it's own army of power armored men and women.
That's pretty much the basics. Some lose ends here and there, but I just thought of this 15 minutes ago.

May want to remove that purpose. Between the chemicals and war machines, it's incredibly contradicting. :p That can of course lead to 'reinventing scoeity wether poeple want it or not' as 'we' will tell them what they want. It could explain their military contract with the US Government better. (burn) You may want to tone down the there is no other company in the world (or country) with such power part. Possibly switch to 'legal power', or 'public image', or something along those lines of being the most powerful. Otherwise any villaingroup from here on that we try and make will be forced into itty-bitty-ness. Otherwise, I may have to kill off your character in the first Dark Shroud RP. Will the armours be energy or ordinance based? Is there a theme to'em? What's their power source? Will they flight? TP? Be Transported by third party? Why haven't they ruled the world yet? What's stopping them if they're legal? I love tech characters.

I love tech characters. Have you seen Wall-E? If not, Earth had turned itself into a waste dump. There were no signs of life (human and plant) for years. The company (I forget the name) launched everyone into space. The quality of life improved, but the results were horrible on the human race. No one had to essentially lift a finger to do anything. People sat in hovering chairs 24/7 and let computers, machines, and robots do pretty much everything for them. It was a forced quality of life improvement upon humans, and looked good at first until it turned into what it turned into. Gen-Core is aiming to do something similar. "Genesis" means new beginning--the meaning is in the name. They're attempting to bring earth and her people into a new beginning of a computer and technology controlled world, but their development isn't taking any safety precautions. They're on a, "Do it by any means necessary," mantra as they're determined to bring the world into a new age. It's a greed, money, and power issue. I wanted the armor to be both energy and munitions based, but I wanted them to also be able to stand up to the elements. Gen-Core knows of Yin and his group. Yin has been protesting its cause within the United Nations for several years and it has made him a hard target. The suits can resist electricity, can survive in cold temperatures, are water-proof, can withstand scorching heat temperatures, and have a wind resistance of up to 300 MPH. So they're well equipped to stand toe-to-toe with the CotE if need be. More to come later. I've got to go do yard work.

| If I ever get a home of my own, I'm paving my lawn.
By the way, moved this stuff to Shadow Committee.
Once we finalize a topic, make a new one over in Rogues Gallery. This would be the back room no one sees, unless they look.

| I love the idea, I also thought Dark Shroud would also make a good nemesis....in fact, it would be cool if we where like the justice league in the sense that our rogue galleries are made up of our individual enemies...like the lex luthers attacking the JL ...then the Joker runs amok against JL....then maybe our enemies form a legion of doom thing. | |

| I think CotE will have a major advantage when it comes to storylines due to artwork. It's once thing to 'imagine' what something looks like if you're the only person reading a story. Or if you put a story up for others to read individually. But when you have that reading material become part of interaction between multiple poeple with their own imaginations of what sometimes is, looks and acts like, well that's when you get into contradictions and problems. Artwork helps solidify the other's view of a character for inreaction with groups as a whole instead of individuals. For example. Atm when we think of random power armour, we all think of Iron Man and War Machine do we not? Yin's own post states this. But it could just be the closest thing that came to his mind that comes close to what he really imagines and we could make assumptions and get it wrong until it's drawn out. Now expand this over multiple villaingroups we'll no doubt be making during the course of Champions, DC and Marvel and beyond. Compared to most guilds, I think that puts us in a nice enjoyable and less frustrating position considering all the work and scheduling conflicts that go into any sort of RP. But yeah, this is what, a Gen-Core thread? I didn't notice... Oh look, a Yin smiley. | |

| I'm making this my baby, personally. I'll be fleshing this out some more eventually after I finish up my internship test.
Liquidz I enjoy that idea, and I feel the same way. We have the chance to be as big as the Justice League if we wanted to. We cater to a lot of heroes, so I don't see a problem there at all. Morc also has a very good point. We have a nice chunk of artists in the team to help visual all of this. Also, Photoshop is going to help a lot when it comes to piecing together the power armor suits for this company. I'll just grab a bunch of Iron Man, War Machine-type heroes and combine them all. It should be fun!

| Those are cool, Morc. I was thinking about something a little more slick though. Less bulky, too.
I need to get back to working on this.

| I can't wait to go stabbity-stabbity through the power armor! They might withstand heat, but in close combat they're goners! *imagines a pile of scrap metal with Slayer standing on top* | |

| I get a picture in my head of a more "organic" looking armor as well. Maybe something like the Guyver style of armor with a bit more tech bits in it. Something formfitting.
It should be fun to develop the group more.
